New sheep in the big city.

I recently moved to Seattle from a small town. In my hometown I had enough friends but since I moved here I haven't made a single friend. I worked at a target dept store and made a few acquaintances but coming from one straight dude to another asking for a cell phone number just to hang out feels extremely awkward. I have allot of roommates but they are all much older than I (about 40+). A young couple just moved in but again I find my self feeling to awkward to say hi. Whenever I see them they are cuddling each-other on the couch or with their friends so stopping to say hi makes me feel like I'm in high school again. Don't to judge them but they seem like nice people (all be it the stoner type, was once one myself but since I moved here I haven't smoked and don't wanna start again but getting high together would be a great catalyst for meeting them) I'm into computers and video games but feel like to much of a nerd to just bring that up. Turing to my old fiends of the internet (people I have never met) How do I make friends again?

but sometimes people are really searching for a friendship there.

Once my mom sent me to Hungary for 2 months to learn language. I was 15 y.o. alone in another country without even any language skills. So i started searching trought Internet for some russians who had been living there, met a few people and we got great fun together.
