OptomisticGirl
So I'm ordering my wedding lingerie (or will be) and I was looking at the size chart. I took my measurments for my wedding dress (so I know those). Now according to their sizing chart I'm a 2X. That fits my bust area perfectly. But... The hips and waist measurments for the 2x are like an inch smaller than what I measure on my hips and waist. I could go up to the next size but then my fear is it will be too big in the chest. So should I order with the right size bust with the hips/waist a little small OR go up one size and hope the bust area isn't too big??
abitbroken
When reviewing your measurements, the dress won't match your measurements. It is made FOR someone with your measurements with a little bit of wiggle room/movement room. If it is returnable, I would order the 2x and then try it on to see how it fits if it is just a matter of an inch.If it were 3 inches, I'd say no. And if its a nightie, it is probably made with extra fabric for drape there, anyhow. also, are you measuring with a bra on - if so would you be wearing the bra with the item or not? OptomisticGirl
It's a corset, so I'm kind of worried about it being too tight (I am a big girl when it comes to hips and waist area). It has the natural slimming thing in it so I'm thinking it won't be too bad but I don't want it cutting my circulation off. :S
abitbroken
If its a corset, it may just come over your hip bone but might not depending on the style. The beauty of a corset, if its a true corset and not a bustier , is that you can adjust it. But if it has lacing, there is some wiggle room. Also, is it for wearing with the wedding dress or is it bedroom stuff?
OptomisticGirl
The size chart has like the measurments in inches and it then translates those measurments (rounded of course) to a certain size for easier ordering I guess. So it has all the measurments in inches but out to the side it has like if you are x-x-x you will be this size. It does say in the description it's a lace up back, which is why I was thinking I could make it work and the picture looks like it sits over the hip bone, if that makes any sense. It's for the wedding night but I would also like it to double as the under garment for the wedding dress just to smooth my lines out and so I don't have to deal with a strapless bra. sweetpea03
I'd just get the 2x and see how it fits...
OptomisticGirl
I most likely will. I'm going to call the company in the morning to see what they say but I wanted my fellow ENAers opinions as well.
