Jetta
I need to vent. Today we returned to class, it's my last semester hopefully as I registered for a class I really wanted to take but I knew it was a tight schedule. Needless to say I'm going to likely have to cancel that class because I can't just run in late all semester and it's not a little late it's a lot late. It takes way more than 20 minutes to truck accross campus, when the bus driver is on his break at the time I need to go and the other bus driver is late for work and sure I may not have been 25 minutes late for class but I still won't be able to make it accross campus in 20 minutes. So now I'm stuck having to take a night class because it was the only other class that would fit in my schedule that was on the approved list. It's a good class I mean it fits with my major totally, but a night class? Yuck. Campus isn't in the best part of town, now I'll have to bus home because I have an early morning class, then at night drive back, because the buses don't run that late. So I'm screwed. I can't afford gas and parking once a week a 100 mile drive round trip. I honestly don't know what to do here. It's my last semester so I'll have to figure something out but dang this just sucks. In the Dark
ROFL. I just got the news I have to commute over an hour to get to my class as the local campus is not going to b holding the class in my town. The only people who applied were me and my trainees. -_-"

thejigsup
I worked full time my senior year and worked about 20 miles from my campus. I took a morning class at 8, got to work by 10:00, worked till 5, and had class from 7 - 10. I did this 3 times per week. I was a single mother at the time, also. Was it worth it? You bet it was!!! I feel for you, but hang in there. Your senior year is all about having the guts to finish.
Jetta
Well I will have to cancel the class I planned to take and wanted to take for a class that's available that is of little interest and probably not my forte so it's difficult. Praying I pay yet again. On top of that it's a night class. I have no idea how I'm going to afford this semester, need a miracle truthfully. I'm so upset I actually cried over this stupid matter, but it is that time of the month so that's probably why the tears. Now I have enough time to go home between classes but my mom thinks that's wasteful and I should just stay on campus it is about 1 1/2 hour commute. I have another class starting up in March so the downtime is limited. You can only study so long, and 6 1/2 hour space between class is a bit much. It's altering my social life, this rotten schedule of classes I HAVE to take. I won't be able to date, I can't go visit my brother like I usually do, and I can't wait for it to end and it hasn't even started (hardly) yet. I do think despite what my mom says I'll make the trip home if I don't have something pressing to do on campus like I did today. It's just as easy to study on the bus trip back and forth and I do realize gas money is a consideration but then I have to figure in the money I'd spend on food. Just rambling because I'm still upset about having to forgo the class I took a class to take.
