So Ashamed of my teeth !!

Recommended Posts

okay, i feel so ashamed(at myself) for letting my teeth get so bad. They were never great....but then i had a filling fall out. It hurt so bad to brush my teeth and eventually had to stop. Im so embarrassed to tell even my parents, let alone go see a dentist. I know i prolly need some surgery. I used to be really outgoing and liked going out n just meeting new people. Now i dont talk to people i dont know(especially girls) and i really just feel scummy. What should i do??? has anyone else gone through a problem like this??

And please be gentle

you really have to go to a doctor, unless you want things to be like this forever. I do understand that's not easy, but remember that dentists are dentists for a reason, and they see stuff like that on a daily basis, and even way way worse things.

So please do yourself a favor! They will find a solution for you.

You need to tell your parents so they can take you to the dentist.

Perhaps, it isn't even as bad as you think? You may need a root canal, if your roots are damaged and you are in a lot of pain.

I know how you feel because I have bad teeth as well. I had several root canals, numerous filling, and even a couple of caps in my mouth and now I'm on Invisalign braces.

Trust me, there's nothing to be ashamed about. Please go to the dentist and get the situation taken care of before it gets any worst. It'll be alright.

I can only reiterate what everyone else has said .... you need to get to the dentist. The pain you are feeling now will only get worse as more teeth start to decay. You could even end up with gum disease and lose all your teeth! Please go to the dentist now and get your teeth sorted out before the problem becomes even bigger. As Bunney says, dentists see and deal with this all the time. I'm sure yours is a familiar story. There is no need to feel ashamed or embarrassed. As you pointed out, this isn't just just affecting your dental health its affecting you mentally too. Going to the dentists will change that all back around again. Imagine how great that would be.
