My mom owns apartments in a different state they're really nice because they include a washer/dryer. Because of the location they're cheap for what you get (about $425/mo). plus utilities. Anyway I know I could afford to move there but then I'd never see my daughter which is a great joy in my life. I'm so hoping I can find a job in MN when I finish college, a job that affords me a place of my own, whereas rent around here is closer to 1K/mo. to get something that would compare with her apartments would be closer to $1500/mo. It's just frustrating to know I'm currently stuck living with my mom because all I could technically afford in MN is public housing and to move out of state would mean seeing much less of my daughter, my mother and brother, and my best friend. I don't know I have another friend who lives in Iowa and makes trips up here to visit. I could probably do the same, but he lives near his daughter, I wouldn't. So I'm essentially stuck in MN which isn't a bad place to be stuck in, but I hope to God I can find a job when I finish school because that's the only way I'll be able to afford a place to live that's market rate. Because as much as my mom loves me even she would like to see me living on my own again. And right now I feel like she'll die before I move out, and that's scary.
