yeawutever
why are so many people falling for it? Basically I worked as a telemarketer and these customer think they'll receive free coupons but once we proceed on to the biggest offer (the one that asks about the credit card), some of them freak out... As you can see, I always hated this position but it's what we do for a living. Why are so many surprise by this? Shouldn't they all know no one gives you free things waiting for anything in exchange? As stated, I don't really like this telemarketing position but that's the best paying position in my country. Lastly is there a way I can actually convince more people and finally get my commission for next month? So many rejections I have to deal with everyday (once in a while, a customer finally buys my club offer... making my day happy)? I seem to have trouble in getting more customer to accept my bigger offers (today I had many that only wanted little, worthless samples and nothing more). I want my commission so badly by next month.. any way??? Link to comment
petite
Because people don't want to pay for coupons. I wouldn't trust a telemarketer with anything let alone my credit card. No offense, but when I get telemarketers calling I am rude and I hang up. Why in the world do they call at dinner time anyway. Gosh! Thankfully don't get many calls these days because requested to be taken of the telemarketing calling list + private number. Ok, rant over. Link to comment

I was once fired for not making enough points nor convincing people to get my other offers but somehow they called me back. Recently I have been receiving reprimands for not reading the sales script word for word and giving up too easily when many told me ''no''. The company pressures us too much into this... It's actually a computer dialing the numbers at random and we have to talked to whoever we get (an automatic dialer). The same 3-4 people are going to receive the commission this month but not me worked so hard for nothing. Ugh Yes when I used to received those calls, I wouldn't answered anything but hanged up immediately. Interesting, I'm one of them now and so many times it's either wrong numbers or people who never registered in our site..... boy if the system wouldn't do that too much it'll be better. Thank you, will keep that in mind. I'm sure there are certain techniques I'm lacking. I think it's due to my former reserved, shy nature years earlier. Until all of the sudden, I have to be this talkative, convincing person. Link to comment
