No, if you are not on the same page, then it'll be really difficult for the relationship to work out.

 

If both parties truly love each other, I think they should do whatever means necessary/compromise to make the relationship work. Come up with a happy medium.

Not unless if you compromise. If both partners can't compromise, then the relationship won't work. You can't just have one partner compromise, that's unfair because you two should be reaching out to each other.
