Shortpants
Has anyone else read this book? I was reminded of it this morning from a title of a journal someone posted here. It's been many, many years since I read it, but I remember thinking it was so amazing. Here is a link to the book itself: link removed Another link to more info about the book: link removed And yet another link to some quotes from the book: link removed There also was a second called The Te of Piglet, but I didn't read that one. To quote the second page I linked: "Winnie the Pooh has a certain way about him, a way of doing things which has made him the world's most beloved bear. And Pooh's Way, as Benjamin Hoff brilliantly demonstrates, seems strangely close to the ancient Chinese principles of Taoism. The 'Tao of Pooh' explains Taoism by Winnie the Pooh and explains Winnie the Pooh by Taoism. It makes you understand what A.A. Milne probably meant when he said he didn't write the Pooh-books for children in the first place." I am not a Taoist myself, but I found this to be a very entertaining and interesting read and recommend it to anyone that grew up with Pooh. Link to comment
