Notreadyet87
link removed... Are you an ambitious person by nature? What makes one ambitious? Do you believe that everyone has the potential to shoot for a dream, achieve it and keep it going, or that only FEW are ambitious, and that most are content with what things are? If you are overly ambitious can you have relationships with people who are less ambitious? Could you deal with your kid being less ambitious? Do you think not being ambitious is a bad thing? If you are overly ambitious can you have relationships with people who are less ambitious? Could you deal with your kid being less ambitious? Do you think not being ambitious is a bad thing? There are varying degree of ambition and there are many different aspects of ambition. I'm assuming we're only talking about career wise, but one can be ambitious about family, etc... Personally, I'm more of a "content with whatever life throws at me" by nature. However, both of my parents are very ambitious people and they influence my thinking a lot. I don't know I'm particularly "ambitious", but I hate losing. Whenever I apply myself, I always have to come out on top. I either do it well or not at all. This ends up opening a lot of paths in life, but I don't really aim for a particular spot or whatever. As for relationship wise, I don't mind dating someone less ambitious than I am but my family might mind. I don't think being less ambitious is a bad thing, but I'm not sure if I quite understand that line of thinking. I think most people are, in fact, not particularly ambitious. I also think the general population is quite lazy, however. About the kid, I think I would support them no matter what. Since both of my parents are really ambitious, I've already gotten enough scrutiny for not being able to follow in their footstep. I understand how hard it is on you and would never do that to my own child. Link to comment
