"vehicular manslaughter is wrong"...since when?

Yeah, my first thought when I saw those commercials went along the lines of, "What (string of expletives) copywriter at an ad agency came up with this (expletive)? I'll bet it's some (expletive) guy who either thinks he's clever or just hates women."

I hate having periods. There is nothing cool about it. My periods last a total of 4-5 days out of which 2-3 days I have heavy flow.

I have tried tampons. They don't suit my need. Super/super plus ones hurt me while pulling 'em out. Regular ones have no use for me since I have heavy flow. I have one more issue. I shed a lot of large clots on my heavy days. (Its the lining inside uterus that is built during previous few weeks in case you would get pregnant.) When I shed a large clot, it just sits on top of a tampon and doesn't let the tampon soak as much blood (Sorry if this sounds gross and graphical).

As a result, I'm stuck with using pads. I mostly use Always maxi with wings. I buy them in bulk (pack of 90) at costco. Its cheaper that way. Also, costco has coupons on 'em from time-to-time. So, you save even more. Sometimes I use ultra thin with wings. At night I use Always maxi ultraheavy overnight pad with wings. I've tried every brand of disposable pads on market. I had satisfactory experience only with Always. Yes, even the other brands with wings were not satisfactory. They have wings that just sorta pop out suddenly from opposite edges of a pad, whereas with Always pads, the wings gradually get wider and gradually taper down, providing added protection from side leaks. I didn't find that feature in any other brand.

The pads these days are so slim. I like Always pads, the super thin ones. I feel like it's more unsanitary to keep a tampon in there and not let things come out.

completely agree. Let the things that are expected to get out, flow out.

Really?

I love the Pearl brand. That is the only one that really works for me.

For some reason when I use other brands, the actual tampon does not want to exit the applicator. I have to struggle with it and by then, the bathroom is starting to resemble a crime scene. LOL

I just got a coupon for 2.00 dollars off the Pearls. Oh that is a completely different thread, never mind.

Because the bottom of it doesn't expand in a round shape. It expands kind of squarish, you know? So it hurts when I pull it out.

^ squarish at the bottom = ouch

^round at the bottom = feels much nicer...

You may not have seen me come in.

You may not have seen me leave.

But trust me, I was here.

Well, so far, you are the only man to brave this thread. lol Kudos to you, now get out before I pick up the hammer.

Bleuugghhh! Pads are like nappies and they make you feel proper minging 'down there'.

Regular tampons and pantyliners day to day.

Super absorbant tampons plus pads during the first 2 nights because I don't wanna be up at 3am changing my sheets.

Please make these tampon boxes bright red so in case my wife forces me to go by one at the store at least it blends in with the shopping basket image removed

LOL, my husband always complains when he has to make an emergency trip to the store for me.

I tell him, what's the big deal? It's not like he's using them. It makes him appear the good husband

Have you told your doctor that they get that big? Clots are normal, but I don't think they're supposed to get that big (I'm assuming that the 50p is about the size of a quarter?).

My husband refers to them as "cotton bullets."

Oh god...this just gets better and better. Has he ever offered to "shoot" one in there for you? My ex put one in for me once. He was pretty good at it, but I dont think he's a big fan of doing it. lol

Nope, although he has taken them out on occasion.

He's not really squeamish, but we've been married for nearly 8 years now, so if he's in the mood and it's that time of the month, we're both like, "eh...you'll be here in 4 days, the bleeding will have stopped and we won't have to clean up a huge mess..."

Laziness for the win!
