newwave
I have a free account on Match and can browse but not do much else. Anyway, I put in looking for never married, no kid guys between 40-45 around my house and pulled up 9 pages of guys. Most of the guys looked average, a few were homely, others looked "hot", and many others were exactly what I am looking for, nerdy. The majority actually looked better than the guy I like, and many of them actually have better jobs and own homes. Maybe I'll find someone better. The guy I like is 42, homely and still lives with his mother. Not to say I am rejoining Match, but it gives me hope that maybe I'll find what I want. Link to comment
Fudgie
That's good to know! I hope you find who you're looking for! Link to comment
newwave
That's good to know! I hope you find who you're looking for! Thanks. I'm not ready to pay for an account yet, but it was kind of nice to see that the types of guys I want are actually out there, and assuming they are on Match, many want relationships. I think part of the reason I wait around for him is because I really want a never married/no kid guy who's nerdy, though he's not together for his age. Link to comment
OntheWire
Ohhhhh.... together is sooooo subjective =) Link to comment
newwave
Ohhhhh.... together is sooooo subjective =) Well, he's 42, never really lived on his own (except for his time in the Navy) and doesn't make a lot. Not that those bother me, but other guys at his age live on their own. Link to comment
Puddincup
It's always good to see what your options are in all things in life. Then you can make a better decision. Even if you stick with the original guy, you know what's what. Link to comment
OntheWire
Well, perhaps he just needs a reason to live on his own. I mean, if he's got no S.O. or family, then where's the motivation to add on all the extra bills? Is he opposed to moving out ever? Link to comment
newwave
At one time he wanted to eventually move out and start a family. Now he's content living with his parents until they die and he gets their house. Link to comment

Now he's content living with his parents until they die and he gets their house. Well, what I'm asking is would he be willing to move out if he found a S.O. that he wanted to start a family with. It's one thing for him to stay there because he has no reason to leave. It's another if he's unwilling to leave for any reason. Link to comment
