I think I already reiterated that to mehe has long hair and that's creepy.Doesnt mean everyone thinks long hair is creepy.

and dont forget the acting part.

I can confirm that you stated that you think long hair is creepy. The fact that many have replied calling B.S. is proof that you're being ridiculous.

Creepy is a guy whose smile looks like that of a scarecrow's. Creepy is a guy who goes to a Starbucks around noon, sits in the same chair for hours, orders a coffee per hour, and wears the same, unwashed clothes every day. Creepy is a guy who has the hots for you and stalks you at home, work, and where you go to relax.

I too believe creepy is a matter of perception...it differs from person to person.

Edward Cullen was already mentioned. Watching him in Twilight made my skin crawl. When Bella asked him "have you been watching me sleep?" and he said "Yeah I've been doing this for a couple of months" just made me want to scream "GET OUT NOW BELLA HES GONNA EAT YOU."

But yeah, look at the screaming crowds of fangirls for the actor....they find him attractive and I find him creepy.

Do you think even if a guy is perceived as creepy and unattractive by one woman, another woman is likely to find him attractive?

certainly, yes !

Even the trenchcoat guy with dead rats in the pockets

Everyone that is too different from "the norm" is considered as creepy. It makes harder for you, but as long as your are a good person that wants to make this world work, I see no issue in that.

The only reason they find Edward attractive is because they find Robert Pattison attractive. If some average looking guy was playing Edward, they'd be like, "Edward is so creepy...ewww."

It's based on looks. You put an attractive actor in a movie role, and suddenly you have a bunch of fangirls for said character.

Well, you just have to advertise that person as attractive to get people to believe they are attractive.

Shia Lebouf has been put on lists as top attractive men. Shia Lebouf?!?! There are plenty of actors who aren't very attractive yet the public fawns over them. When you are told over and over again through different media that so-and-so has the look, you just start seeing it and believing it over time.

Honestly, I don't think Robert Patterson is all that attractive. He seems like a nice guy though. He has a nice body type and a good chin and mouth. His eyebrows bother me though...I think he'll be more attractive in 10-20 years than he is now. In Twilight, his nose looked like it was smashed in.

I'm not sure if it's totally looks.

I mean, he's REALLY creepy, and I mean really creepy. He glows in sunlight, drinks blood, stalks his girlfriend, and half the time he looks like he's going to fart.

Given the mania surrounding his whole character...not just the actor, makes me think that a lot of girls dug his movie personality. He played recently in a movie called "Remember me" or whatever. He wasn't Edward in that and looked the same. But the fangirls didn't seem to care - they just want him in Twilight.

I disagree... because loooong before the movie was cast there were girls who read the books and went nuts over Edward. And in the book I believe he is described at least once as pale & brooding with sunken eyes.

Plus, even looking at a good-looking actor, I still watched the movie and thought: blech!!

Hahahaha! I mentioned the movie/insanity around Edward to my mom & she asked me: "oh, is that the boy who looks like he always needs to use the bathroom?" Which is exactly what I thought it looked like too!

And yet... I have a 30 yr. old girlfriend who watched the same movie & then plastered her apt. with Edward/Twilight paraphinalia. Again, I say: Blech!!!

And what about Michael Phelps?? Granted he's a talented man but he always looks kinda doofy to me. There's no way he would be such a chic magnet if not for the fame & hype!
