Blackey
Beforehand, every time a sad break up song would play on the radio or anywhere, i would be like "ohh come on turn on the station, i dont want to hear some desperate dudes or gals crying over someone who left them, come onnn life goes on why the hell are they crying for, move on and stop crying", or something in this fashion. After the break up i kind of started listening to these "sad pathethic songs" all the time and actually started indetify mtself with the song, what the song is all about, and what the writer of the song was going through. In addition i didnt really listen to too much pop music before, every now and then, but now i find myself listen to these "sad pathetic pop songs" much of the time, lol its funny how all is changing. flipside
I don't even listen to the words to those songs. I am aware that I am a minority, but I do enjoy the accompaniment more than some commercialized, watery, wannabe poety. However if I do listen to the lyrics, I can always identify with them from somewhere in my past. My advice to you, Blackey would be to keep an open mind, who knows what other 'kinds' of music you didn't think you liked that you might enjoy. rigguy
hehe know what you mean. Seems like every song is about heart break or something along the line. Jeez... news channel for me.
Blackey
rigguy - lol that is so true, people run out of originality and just write about a heartbreak or something about love.. come on lol be original, im tierd of those heartbreak/love songs, even if its about flying pigs or cowboy named joe or something...i would listen to it , be original and stop producing heartbreak songs! Dako
I like the funny over-the-top tearjerkers. I Got Tears in my Ears From Laying on My Back in Bed Cryin Over Yewww. You Picked a Fine to Leave Me Lucille, with 42 Hungry Children and A Crop in the Field The Cow Went Dry and the Computer took my Job Away And I'm Stuck in this Wheelchair. Well, some of those songs seem as weird.

mca1975
This is the beauty of music. They can be very empowering and the thing about sad songs is that if you can identify, it brings you some comfort in that there are other people in the world who are/have been going through exactly the same thing. BellaStranger
Scouting For Girls- 'This ain't a love song' is HAUNTING me at the moment.... it's following me and it's torturing me and I can't get away from it. I also can't stop listening to it when it's on. Every night I remember that evening The way you looked when you said you were leaving The way you cried as you turned to walk away The cruel words and the false accusations The mean looks and the same old frustrations I never thought that we'd throw it all away But we threw it all away. And I'm a little bit lost without you And I'm a bloody big mess inside And I'm a little bit lost without you This aint a love song this is goodbye (oooooh) This aint a love song this is goodbye (ooooh)
