Am I selfish or in love?

Hello,

- Is it weird to see your significant figure only once every one or two months if you're supposed to be dating? (given that both people are workaholics)

- Is it "love" if you're looking for someone to complain to/hold you/put up with you and not hate you for your problems?

I'm not in a relationship (never have been) but there is a person I'm interested in, who knows I'm interested but isn't interested back, though we're both friends and go out to dinner occasionally.......

I know that both my fiancee and I would both go stark raving mad if we could only see each other once or twice a month and we are both busy people ourselves. However, if that is truly all the free time you have, you go with the resources you are given, I guess.

To me, this definition as a whole is not love as how I have been raised to see it. You can do most of those things with a counselor, they can listen to your problems and not be judgmental towards you. Holding you might be a difficult matter, but I digress.

However, that being said, this is one key component of love. Your SO should be able to listen to your problems, reassure you and give you that hug/kiss when you need it most, and should not hold your issues/problems against you. So, I guess I am trying to say that yes, it can be considered love, but that is not all there is to love.
