Haylz2010
I was sexually assaulted on Feb 11th and was on the pill... A few hours after it happened I started bleeding and I know it wasn't my period cause it wasn't the same colour and it was only a little bleeding... I'm guessing cause the last time I had sex was three months previous. I skipped my break at the time cause I just didn't want to deal with a period and now I've taken my break as normal and usually I come on the second day of not taking it. Even though I've skipped my break before, I've always had my period the following break I took but now I'm three days late. WHAT DO I DO??????????????????????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Link to comment
Seraphim
Can you go out and buy a test? I am so sorry for what happened to you. Link to comment
ToF
Calm down. Have you been to a doctor? Link to comment
Haylz2010
Thanks Victoria... tbh the only way I really got through it was with support by my fiance (he lives in France) and was very understanding. No I haven't been to the doctor or bought a test as my mum said I should wait a few days but I know my body and my cycle and I really think even though I was on the pill I might be pregnant. I thought being on the pill meant you couldn't get pregnant? Link to comment
Shortpants
I'm so sorry you were assaulted. Did you report the assault? If you were bleeding shortly after, it sounds as if you may have gotten some sort of injury. I would recommend going to a doctor to get checked. More than likely you are not pregnant, as you said you were on the pill, but nothing is 100% and the only thing that will tell you for sure is a pregnancy test. You can get cheapy ones that work just as well as the more expensive digital ones. Or, if you are headed to the doctor to get checked, they can do one too. Stress can be a big factor in missed or late periods as well. I wouls still say you need to go to the doc and get checked though... may want to consider STD testing while you are at it too. I'm so sorry, take care of yourself. Link to comment
ToF
Yes, you can get pregnant while on the pill. If you were raped, you NEED to see a doctor. You might have an STD, or you could be injured. Link to comment

I thought being on the pill meant you couldn't get pregnant? It is possible butnot likely if you take all your pills on time and everytime. I would suggest a dr's visit though, seriously. You should be tested for STD's and make sure you were not injured. I too have been sexually assulted and I would strongly recommending getting some counseling for it. You can not know exactly how badly this could affect your life in the future. I can not urge you strongly enough to deal with this now. Link to comment

I don't think you should wait a few days. Take a test now, to relieve your worries. You're probably not pregnant. The pill, when taken properly and not combined with substancethat lessen its reliability, is a highly effective form of birth control. You have been under so much stress and also skipped your placebo pills in your last pack so it might be throwing you off balance. Either way- in the unlikely event that you are pregnant- a test would show it right now. Link to comment
Haylz2010
Thanks for all your advice, I did go to the hospital and have a STD test which was negative. I wanted to go to the police but didn't... I know it sounds silly, it's too long to explain but I'm over it now I just hope I'm not pregnant cause I don't believe in abortions Link to comment
mca1975
I think you should do a test as soon as possible to put your mind at rest. I'm so sorry you were assaulted. The bleeding may be linked to that, if it was aggressive. Also remember that stress and upset can make your periods late. Much love x Link to comment

Since it's been almost 2 months since the intercourse, a test would be 99.9% reliable right now. I think you should run right out and get one, so that you don't have to go through any more unnecessary anxiety. Link to comment
