artsman1
Hey everyone, So, I was looking through a friend's pictures from his workplace on Facebook, and saw one girl who really caught my attention. She's pretty and I, ahem, checked out her Facebook and she was both single and seemed to have a lot of the same interests as me. So I was thinking I should see if he could set me up....then I logged in to my Plenty of Fish account and was searching on there and recognized her picture near the top of one of the page of returns I got. Now I have a weird predicament; I kind of want to meet this girl, but I don't know if I should just ask him to help me meet her, or if I should just message her on POF? My friend is actually her boss, but he's leaving the position to come work for me actually come summer....not sure if that would complicate things. But I just wanted to see people think I should do. Thanks! artsman1 Link to comment
TheViking
Imo, your chances of getting a date with her are much greater if you go through your friend. Trust me, online dating is very tough to get even a reply. Link to comment
Jd1983
I think it's best that you go through your friend. Just so it won't be awkward, if and when she finds out that you are close friends with her boss. I'll give it a try, who knows. Link to comment
Gabo
Absolutely go through your friend. Some people are going to be more help then others and a little just depends on how willing/enthusistic your friend is. This actully happened to me lst week too. I saw a girl in match who I thought was cute. Emailed her; she never got back to me but a couple days later added me as "I'm interested" on the Daily 5 thing (maybe this means she isn't subscribing????). Anyways, due to one of her pictures I had reason to believe she knew a couple of my girlfriends. I emailed one, we figured out who it was. I asked my friend what she thought and the response was "Yes!!!! Absolutely, she's wonderful and I highly recommend her." My friend is now plotting how she cn get us together Haven't met or contacted her yet, but the point is that if you have a good person in between I think it is much better to contact them offline. beatlesfan77
I would also say to have your friend help you out. I've gone through the same situation with a gal I saw on Facebook who was friends with my best friend's spouse. However, neither of them seemed to care about helping me out with her. Hopefully your friend shows more care than mine. - Kevin Link to comment
