Dumpers and facebook

So I saw someone on and off for 4 months...if I can believe what she said she was not ready for anything ultra serious as she just was divorced 5 months ago. Unfortunately I feel head over heals in love....so I guess I have hope that maybe we can be on the same page someday.

 

Anyway, I was surprised to see she was still a friend on my facebook. I thought for sure she would have deleted me since she was not in the same place as me...and she is very aware of how much I love her.

She may not be putting the same level of importance on Facebook as you do. Some people don't really look at their profiles all the time.

People generally don't know or talk to half of their facebook friends. Don't read anything into it.

 

That said, she may contact you sometime when she's in a better place, so just chill for now and let what will happen, happen. Don't fall into the trap of holding your breath, though.

Maybe she thinks that you can just be friends and when she is ready maybe there is something there. But like the others said don't read much into it. I have a facebook page that I haven't checked in like 3 months, so it could just be she doesn't really care about facebook.

Thanks everyone - for what its worth she posts something every day....When we were dating she would post a quote or question almost every day.

people take facebook too seriously. it's not real life. i've had people be offended because i didnt add them as a friend but added someone else they knew. my ex still has photos of us and some of the trips we went on. we split up 9 months ago and only spoke once. i unfriended her(i recommend everyone do that) and untagged myself on all but one of the photos and removed any photos of her.

 

i hope my next girlfriend isnt into facebook. i will find weird if i look on her page and can delve into her past. i think a new person their past is best left in the past

I know, I myself put too much power to facebook... I have been defriended and took that really seriously. I have found out that my then not-ex was dating someone else on facebook. And I became that crazy psycho * * * * * .... I hated myself for that and regret it very much. But what happened happened and it is what it is. Otherwise I can't move on. If I were to go back, it is only to keep in touch with my high school friends because I went to high school in Europe and everyone is from everywhere!
