cutiepie0308
Im a first year law student, wondering if its really what I want to do with my life...I have a B.A in counseling and health psychology and worked as a research assistant for 2 years. Hypothetically speaking, If I were to abandon law altogether, what career path could I choose? Id like to make a good living ( $60/yr+) but without more schooling, Im realistic! thanks Link to comment
CaptainNapalm
I don't know if I can give much advice on this one but a B.A. in counseling doesn't ring $60K/yr + to me, unless you have quite a few years of experience behind your belt, but certainly not in the first 3-5 years. Link to comment
cutiepie0308
yea, figured id have to work my way up in whatever field I choose, just not sure what I could do without having to go to grad school Link to comment
CaptainNapalm
Why are you trying to shy away from grad school? It really does pay off in the long run. 10 years from now you might be kicking yourself in the behind and wishing you'd have sacrificed an extra few years to have a much higher paying job and more rewarding career. It's just a thought. Link to comment
BellaDonna
Community health or research can pay well- especially if you work at a college or a university (in a leadership or coordinator position)- but you will need an advanced degree. Link to comment
cutiepie0308
I was shying away from grad school cuz Im already $100,000+ in debt. Yea, these days you need an advanced degree for everything. I was just feeling down about school, just wanted to know what my alternatives were, but I'll probably just stick to law *sigh* if I could only win the lottery..... Link to comment
