Thank you note?

I just received two wonderful letters of recommendation for graduate school from coworkers and I was wondering if, in addition to the 800 times I've thanked them verbally, I should send them a little thank you card?

 

Is that too much?

 

I think it is lol... but I am not sure what the protocol would be in this situation.

That was the thought I had; I really want them to know that I value their support but I don't want to seem crazy lol.

My mom has loads of cards and mementos from when she was a National Director of a company she worked for. All from people she had helped in some way. She still keeps them and they remind her of lovely people she met through life. Give them a card

I JUST cleared out my room and had an old box of new thank you notes and tossed them in the garbage like a fool. Ugh

I think a hand written thank you note is always appreciated, and means a lot to the person receiving it.

I agree that a hand-written note is a good idea. After all writing a letter of recommendation isn't like writing an email --- it takes a lot of forethought and they must really think highly of you.

 

Verbally thanking them is great too, but a note would be even better!
