cancer- question

Hi,

 

I visited a good friend of mine today who has cancer- it was just a little get together. Really nice to see her, but unfortunately she has a really bad kind of cancer- brain cancer (glioma).

 

Last time I saw her she looked quite good, other than low energy due to all the treatment. But that was back in november I think.

 

Today her face and pretty much everything was really puffy. What is that from? I didn't ask or anything, but I assume it's from some kind of treatment. She hasn't lost weight or anything, she was kind of overweight to begin with, but I guess is a good thing if you are getting hammered with drugs. Thanks everyone.

It is most of the time general inflammation that occurs when soft tissues receive radiotherapy.

If she is on any steroid medication like Prednisone that results in people putting on weight and getting a puffier face.
