Why does dumpers lies during/after the post break up? What my ex has been saying and doing are all lies either to make him feel better or lessen his guilt. I don't understand what he's thinking or telling me what's on his mind. ..

He is making space between you. He is trying to have a life without you. Which means that he wants to keep parts of himself away from you. I don't know what he is lying about but he could be lying so he doesn't have to deal with your emotions or he could be lying to try and not hurt you.
