Do men usually make the 1st move?

I am just wondering, is it usually the men that make the 1st moves for stuff ( asking a girl out, 1st kiss,...)?

Because I never ask a guy out (etc)! And the two guys I've dated ( since I became single a month ago) both asked me out and stuff... Lol, is it just me or are most girls like me?

Yes...9 times out of 10 it is the guy that has to make the first move. That's just the way it is. I'm not saying girls will never do such a thing, but its still rare, even today.

I prefer guys to make the first move..but if he's shy or just doesn't seem to be getting that i'm into him..I have no problem with making the first move. It's not that common for a girl to make the first move, so if you do..you may stand out to him..in a good way.

Typically guys are expected to be the ones to take action, but some of them are too shy.

If you are confident and assertive, it can sometimes definitely work in your favour to go ahead and make the first move yourself.

My lovely partner did NOT ask me out. I had to get a little tipsy then asked him out over the phone, because I was such a chicken.

Typically yes.

 

But, they definitely don't have to.

 

I was the one who initiated the kiss for my first and current boyfriends. So empowering.

 

Guys need to know that you like them just as much as women do. Rarely will a guy make all the moves blindly if he really likes the girl.

As can be made out from previous comments, SOME men make the first move. What kind of men they are and which of them women find attractive are different matters altogether.

 

Then there's the men who DON'T make the first move. And there's a few reasons why they don't. That said, women may actually find some of these men preferable. They just have to get used to approaching men who blush when they're winked at.

Girls can make the first move. I personally do not ever do that. It's just a weird thing of mine.
