Ac143
Well considering its a date, maybe jeans and a nice top (no t-shirt) but nothing to fancy. Something casual BUT cute! Link to comment
annie24
i'd wear jeans and a cute top, and some sort of cute heels or boots. Link to comment
erase this face
If that is this guy's idea of a date, don't bother showing up. Link to comment

Ac143
If that is this guy's idea of a date, don't bother showing up. HAHA....can I ask...why Dennys for a date? I know it shouldn't matter where you go or what you do as long as you have fun, but that's like taking someone to McDonalds for a date. Link to comment

Miss Firecracker
Please go to Waffle House instead. It's ten times better than Denny's. Link to comment
annie24
ah, good that that guy's gone. eh, who's idea was denny's? i agree it isn't really an 'optimal date' type of situation, a little cafe is much cuter of an idea. but, ok, whatever. if he turns out to be a freak, just order a small bowl of fruit, throw $5 down on the table when you are done, then leave. My brother (almost 19) and I were in the car the other day, and he was talking to one of his friends about some girl that was going to be at their place later that evening. After he got off the phone, I was like, "Cody haven't you ever thought of having something serious with a girl instead of just using her for sex? And how would you show any difference to a girl you wanted something serious with, and a girl you just wanted to have sex with?" His response: "Girls I just wanna have sex with, I take their a$$es to McDonalds, buy them a 99cent burger, take them back to the place, and tell them to get on their knees and get to work..." This is why I'm very weary of men. Pretty sad. Link to comment

If you were to turn to 95% of this forum and ask that question, you'd get a much larger response with far less callous answers. Link to comment
addictedblue
Psh, I love Denny's late at night. You can get breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert, and it's not that expensive. In the middle of the night it's not like you can be that picky. Just wear jeans and a normal shirt. You could even go in your pajamas if you wanted lol I have done it before. Link to comment
DN
Remember that if you judge a man for taking you on a date to Denny's that you are being judged in return and the verdict is probably not flattering. But if it was your suggestion then it does seem a little harsh to judge him for accepting it. Link to comment
thejigsup
DENNY'S?!!!!! Please tell me you are kidding. A man invites you to Denny's when he hardly knows you is not thinking very highly of you at all. We only eat at Denny's when nothing, and I do mean nothing, else is open! Geeze, where will he take you next, McDonalds? Link to comment

Diggidyd
Haha the thread title actually made me lol Well if u mentioned dennys first I guess I can't clown, but if that was his initial suggestion..... =Z Jus casual wear, jeans and a cute top. Its the first date so emphasis on cute. NO tshirt though -.- Link to comment
ghost69
next time pick a better place. i wouldn't go fashionably too loud for denny's. Link to comment
HeartGoesOn
If you're meeting for the first time, I see no difference in meeting at "Denny's", or meeting in a coffee shop. I'm assuming that you're only meeting to see if you're interested in dating each other. Link to comment
Zeitgeist
I agree this guy can't be judged for Denny's since it was the OP's suggestion. OP, I would find a little bit more of a "date-type" place for future first dates. And since Denny's is the only place open late at night, perhaps it would be a good idea to plan your dates for earlier in the day. Late morning coffee date or early evening drinks? For first time meetups, I always ask to just get together for a drink and usually in some comfortable, but casual cafe or brewpub. This way, if the date's a bust, I didn't get trapped waiting for food and having to go through a whole meal. If possible, I try to plan the times just before normal mealtimes so that if it goes well, I can ask if they'd like to get some food. If it doesn't go well, then I had a previous engagement for lunch or dinner. It works well for them too. This way, the pressure is a little less for both of us. Link to comment
