iknowhowtolove Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 so school is almost over and i was planning to go to summer school but i dont want to cause i will be seeing my ex there. my uncle invited me to mexico and i wanna go but then again no. i know i shouldnt think about him but i dont know why im scared that he'll forget me completely or worry about if he might call me during the summer but i wont know and also because i feel like im going to be thining about him a lot when im there. i dont know what to do. i want to get over him but im scared of leaving. what should i do? it will be the first time i go to mexico. Your decision should be based on what is better for you and should have nothing to do with your ex. Why were you planning on going to summer school..was it to get ahead in courses? If so then I would suggest going to summer school regardless of your ex. Look after your future. Link to comment

Goooooooooooooo to Mexico, stick your feet in the sand, drink margaritas, get a tan, jog on the beach, enjoy, enjoy...forget about your ex. But as CAD's said, think of whats more beneficial for your future, just brush off your ex as if he were'nt there, concentrate on your education. Link to comment

Look after your future. no, my uncle lives here but he is going for the summer. im not sure if there is still a travel advisory to mexico. i totally forgot about the swine flu and it is kinda scary. but maybe nothing happens because we will be going to a state of mexico where no cases of the swine flu have been reported. you're right my decision should be based on what is better for me but i cant help but think about him. actually yes i was planning to go to summer school to go ahead in courses. it definitely important and i wanna go to summer school. my mom knows this but is telling to go to mexico instead. i do need to look after my future so yes im definitely going to summer school instead i think. thanks for the reply Link to comment

It's a good time to put things into perspective and come back feeling good, tanned, toned, and full of new dreams. Summer school has accelerated classes, seeing the ex, and studying harder then starting again the same routine in the fall...live a little and relax...your young...school will be there..your health mentally, physically, and spiritually are in turmoil right now. LOL if i go it will be the first time i get out of the country and even state cause ive never been anywhere. and im so stressed and need a break. school just sound awful and i dont even want to think about how stressed im going to be. ill come back feeling better and like a new person. Then you'll be off enjoying yourself having a grand old time while he's stuck at home pining for you. That just might make him miss you even more! The swine flu seems to have pretty much passed for now, and it was limited to DF and parts of Oaxaca. Mexico is a HUGE place - if you're going to be in a different state, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Link to comment

The environment will be totally different, so even though you'll still think about him, you'll have new experiences, people, etc. Maybe you could even do some work for your uncle or someone and make a little money. Have fun if you get a chance to, trust me. I'm not saying not to focus on school, but I spent all my free time studying in college and, while I'm happy with my degrees, I wish I actually had more experience to show for myself!
