bar35
So I really ended this semester lack luster, my last semester in Grad school, I gotta B in a class that others did really well in. I am feeling really disappointed with myself. I know that I did all that I could, and there just wasn't enough time to do it all, and something had to suffer, but I still feel upset about it. Kinda stupid actually. Link to comment
MinziGirl
I finished my wholoe university with marks which are not the best too... At first, i sulked because i thought i can do it better but as the time goes by, i realised that i have earned my degree anyway & that i passed... The same for you. You passed... and believe me, many people who want to be in your shoes and in university passing their grades semester after semester. ;-) Link to comment
pinkrobot
If something had to suffer, a B is nothing to complain about at all. You could have come out of it a lot worse, and you should just be proud of yourself for finishing grad school! Not everyone makes it that far in their education (I have a BA, but I'll never go to grad school...), so pat yourself on the back for it and just congratulate yourself for the HUGE accomplishment you did make. bar35
Thanks for the support. It was a real struggle for me, and I am glad that I finished. I know that I excelled in some areas, and others had to suffer. It could have been much worse, you're right. Link to comment

steelcitymstro
A "B" is really not a big deal. It's good that you have such high expectations for yourself, but you also have to be realistic--you're not a superhero....you're human. Honestly, future employers very seldom look at individual class grades in transcripts. They might look at overall GPA over four years, but rarely at individual classes. Link to comment

That's easy to say when you're in grad school, but I also go a B. and the expectations that college have these days, especially Ivy Leagues, are unheard of. So the B+ that I got out of all As really makes me disappointed. I hate the system, but to get accepted at some schools, it requires that you become a "superhero", as you put it. It's bull * * * * . If the acceptance was based off of an interview, I'd be golden. Link to comment
DaBladeRoden
If offer my sympathy if I didn't get a 3.299 GPA in college Link to comment
GrandioseMania
The only thing unacceptable about getting a 'B' is sulking about it. It's a good grade despite what you think expectations are. The truth is, you don't have to go to some extraordinary college to get a good job. I know plenty of people including my brothers who do what they love that went to college and got 'B' grades and still got awesome jobs. But I honestly hate when people make as if a grade just below an 'A' is terrible. Link to comment
dragon lady
The only thing unacceptable about getting a 'B' is sulking about it. I agree with grandma. I wouldn't be complaining about one B. No sympathy from this end. I got 3 B's this semester. They were hard classes and I missed a ton of school due to illness. My school is very much against "grade inflation" too, so I'm very proud of myself. Link to comment

Angstyboi
What were the other classes? Yeah, psychology is a pretty good major to get good grades in. And a 'B' isn't a good grade? Or maybe that's not why you're trying to imply. I'm taking Psychology as well, and I've gotten plenty of A's as well as B's. So has my brother who is now a family therapist. Link to comment
Ruede
Graduate classes are great for drilling into students' minds that they need to achieve top notch all the time. But hey -- if you're not going to get a PhD, why worry so much?! And even if you are, it's not the end of the world. Link to comment

I wish I could get easy Bs like that in classes such as organic chemistry, physiology, endocrinology, and so forth but it takes literally, triple the effort. Psychology isn't a hard hard major.
