rohded
So here's the story. I met a girl (we live in the same house together with a bunch of other people, but we are both moving out tomorrow) who I had always been physically attracted to before I moved in, but she had a boyfriend so I never really pursued her. Her boyfriend broke up with her about 2 months ago now and she started flirting tons with me. Eventually we started kissing and hanging out all the time, but she said she wanted to take it slow since she was not completely over her ex. When we move out tomorrow we will be living about 5 hours away from each other, and then when school resumes, instead of getting closer we will be moving even farther apart (she is studying abroad for a year). So I'm wondering, was I just a rebound for her? And if I was more than a rebound, how do I keep her interested enough while she is gone to consider picking up where we left off when she gets back? Please, please, please help me out. Link to comment
AJEDrew7
There's really no way to tell if you were a rebound or not right now because of the short time period. But, its more likely you weren't (because she told you she wanted to take things slow...to me, this is an indication there may be some interest on her part). Now, don't wait around for her to come back, but DO talk to her a good amount while she's abroad. Not an obsessive amount, but enough to develop a closer relationship with her and show you're interested in her as a person while she's gone so that when she gets back you'll be closer than ever. And then take it from there... Link to comment
rohded
Thanks a lot, for the most part that was what I was planning on doing. Maybe a text here and there, write on her facebook wall from time to time, and maybe, if she's lucky a phone call. It sucks though that we had to discover that we both had feelings with so little time before she had to leave Oh well, that's life I suppose. Link to comment
