Lionel Hutz
So interesting things have unfolded in the last six months. From losing my job to breaking up with my girlfriend, and just the general stress of making ends meet without support. I can say that losing my job was a huge huge hit. I found a lame lesser paying job, which did not work out, and also disqualified me for my insurance while unemployed. So as one can imagine bills and the cost of living has caught up. Now I made attempts to get a roomie and that went well, however the space I lost was priceless. Now we both make tunes, which is a really good thing, but making room and sharing such a small space sucks. Im dealing with it though. Now things are really catching up, no income while the bills pile up. Now I have been interviewing, and interviewing, and interviewing, and interviewing some more, yet nothing. I'm hopeful but man I have never been in this position before. Mind you I am still keeping positive, and by no means is this depressing me. I am loosing sleep though. Wait, thats not it. So I have also had three interesting events in the last few months as well. My ex g/f is making attempts to reconcile and its kinda working. (sigh) But I am still playing the "yea whatever I don't really care" roll. The calls have become more frequent and longer also. I don't mind at all, I love her, but I still have to keep my guard up. Thats one. Now two. My dad made excellent attempts to contact me and eventually tracked me down. At first I was in a whole mood, but then he told me (I'm gonna sneak number three in here) that my older brother, whom neither of us have met, had found him. Its really really freaking me out. I can say I have not slept in two days with all of this on my mind, not to mention it was 95 in my unit both nights. So thats whats new with me. I know many of my ENA buds might wonder what or who I'm doing these days. Funny too since I actually thought I saw Greywolf last week while I was down the street from Lumberghs. I can also say that typing this helped put things at ease. I really have not "let it out" if you will. but I'm really up against the wall. Link to comment

NowandZen
I dunno if this helps, maybe not so much short term. Risk, as I see it, is only having one source of income. Where you are now is kinda showing you how much attachment you had to the job, or at least to the $$$ from it. Use this time to develop some other sources. When the next one hits, (and it will) you won't be caught off guard so much. Peace man Link to comment

Its working out too and I am making cash again (sigh) another desk, anothher office. I think I got a bit comfortable with my nest egg and splurged a little too much while unemployed I assumed that I'd get a graphic or a show or something to put a few hundred dollars in my pocket. I remember BMWM3 askin me months ago "What are you saving money for?" And the last four months were what for. I am glad I did. I began to get really nervous when first wrote this, and now Im typing this at the new gig. LOAN MODIFICATIONS! Funnnnnnnn! Now its time for the ant to stock up for winter again. I can't wait to finish college. Link to comment
