littlestar
Are they interested? I was going to the Naturopath the other day with a male friend of mine. As we parked the car and walking to the front of the clinic my ankle began to hurt (and i was wearing high heels) so i held onto the arm of my male friend. Mean time there was a couple of guys who were working on the clinic replacing a roller door who were heading in our direction. One of them was super HOT lol and i was having a good look at him but he failed to look or make any sort of eye contact at all with me, never even looked up, to be honest i thought he didnt see me. As he past us and went on walking i decided to turn around to take another look at the eye candy lol and noticed him turning around and looking at me from top to bottom - baring in mind i was still holding onto the arm of my male friend. Did this guy actually notice me? and decided to take a sneak peek when he was behind me not to 'alarm' my male friend which i am assuming this guy thought was perhaps my partner considering the way i was hanging off his arm LOL I sooooooo wanted to say something like "Hey sexy" but i was unsure what he was thinking, whether he thought i was eye candy to him as well or not. Keyman
Because you were hanging from some guys arm, he likely assumed you were together, so the respectful thing is to check you out after you've gone by. Sure, I am a guy and I turn and check girls out after they've gone by. I enjoy the female form, but I also have this vague romantic notion that should the girl also turn and look back, then she must have felt the same. I consider looked eyes in this way 'a moment' and tends to lead to backtracking and saying hi! Link to comment

agatha
just looking comes to me as "I'm pleased by what I see". interest is something they show when they come to talk to you X D Link to comment
littlestar
Keyman - i like the 'romantic notion' sort of makes sense though, if they didnt think the same thing they wouldnt turn around would they? Agatha - so true but me hanging off another guys arm was probably what put him off and the way in which we met, me walking into the clinic and him coming out probably wasnt the best combination to talk to someone. He didnt smile or anything though he was damn serious lol Link to comment
DaBladeRoden
why were you hanging off another guy's arm? might have improved your odds Link to comment

dr_styles
As a guy I also look back if if I see something, ummm ... nice. But not just for the eye candy factor (I'm more of a face person anyway) but also to see if they happen to look back - remember I'm the guy who supposedly "gets nothing" so over the last few months it's become a habit being more attentive and looking back to check. The arm thing definitely would stop me checking you out though (in any obvious sense). I probably wouldn't even look back in that instance either. Link to comment
COtuner
Guys do that a lot, look at you after the fact. I see it in the office all the time when I feel like being amused and look behind me in the hallway. It doesn't necessarily mean they want to date you, just that they want to see if you look good from behind, IMO Link to comment
ghost69
if i thought you were hot, i would have looked at your regardless of you passing. but it wouldn't be long head on. i'm respectable. but definitely after you passed. Link to comment
diabolik
Agreed with the others, even if he was interested, he's not likely to show much interest if you're holding another guy's arm. Guys do that a lot, look at you after the fact. . . . It doesn't necessarily mean they want to date you, just that they want to see if you look good from behind, IMO Ding ding ding. Women like looking at sunsets, etc. Guys like looking at women's butts. It is just about the most beautiful thing in nature. OK, maybe I'm just a little bit biased. Link to comment
ghost69
it's very common for girls that go out with guy friends that say 'why don't i ever meet guys? i work out, dress nice, am good looking, etc.' Link to comment
exploding head
Why are women so stupid about these things? If we look, YES, we think you are good looking! Link to comment
diabolik
Why are women so stupid about these things? If we look, YES, we think you are good looking! Not nearly always true. Sometimes we don't think they are good looking overall, but there might be a particular feature that draws our eye. Sometimes there is something odd about a person that causes us to look. ghost69
If we look back? I dont look back at guys. i'm saying i look at everyone. what if we are at a bar and something catches the corner of my eye and i turn to look. does it mean i want to do everyone in that direction male or female? and i've done a double-take on an unattractive girl. why? thought it might be someone i know. dr_styles
I think I had someone do a look back at me although not in the way in this thread. Was walking along the park (yes, literally, truthfully) since it's also a common running track that I run around a lot, I turn my glance around quickly when hear the gravel steps behind me to see if I need to move out of the way any more. So anyway did the usual head check, two girls jogging (that in itself is no different, girls, guys, couple, etc.) and kept going forward, no need to side step or anything. So they jog past, and one of the girls (hehe, the apparently prettier one too) and kinda looked like she was trying to look backwards twice, like her head was tight 90 degrees to the left. Yes this is a deliberate beatup, making something of nothing just cos it suited the thread LOL. Link to comment
