ConfusedDater
I waas employed for ten straight years and out of the ten years, I was with one company for 6 years. So on the application where you fill out the employment section, I usually just put the Two positions I had from 1999-2005. Now should I have put my first position seperately from 1999-2000, and then the other from 2000-2005? I always just combined but since it was the same company for 6 years. Thoughts? Link to comment
annie24
i think it doesn't matter as long as you are clear about it on the form. Link to comment

Sarati
It does not matter if you distinguish between the two jobs you held within the same company. Just state that you were with Company X from 1999-2005. During any interviews, if asked what your responsibilities were with Company X, just outline what you did from 1999-2000, and then what you did from 2000-2005. Keeping it simple and streamlined will reduce your stress. Good luck! Link to comment
COtuner
My resume has a bold heading with company name, and then underneath italicized breakdowns of roles within that company. So I think breaking them up on an application makes sense because it shows growth and skill differences. Link to comment

Yeah because it's usually 3 sections so I was wondering should I have my most recent as 2005-2009, then my second position from 2000-2005, and then my first which is 1999-2000. I think I will do that for now on. Link to comment
Alezia
Yeah, if your positions are pretty different, I would break them up into two. (Especially that you don't have a room problem like I do - "forced" job change every 4 month lol) If it's just accrued resposnibility to your previous responsibilities, I would stick them together.
