I'm having a small white swollen spot at my throat, anyone an idea what it could mean ?

very small, doesn't feel sore or anything else to notice. Just about 1/3th of a centimeter small. Already there for at least several weeks.

is it on your tonsils? do you have big tonsils? if it doesn't hurt it could just be food?

at the left (seen from inside my body).

at one of the two 'amandelen' (round pieces both at one side of the throat).

it's not food. it's really round shape and already there for at least weeks and really white.

That happens to me when I'm about to get sick, but I can't say it's exactly the same unless I see what it looks like.

think it's too small to photograph, except maybe if I have a light to shine inside my mouth. And the tonsil often covers it till I stretch my mouth at a certaining way by opening it.

You can try gargling some salt-water.

 

If it's something like an infection, it may help get rid of it, or at least prevent it from getting worse.

could be strep throat, but usually your throat would really be hurting too (though i've heard where people have it and have NO pain). I had a white spot on my tonsil once a long time ago and it seemed to have come up any time i switched brands of cigarettes. I don't smoke anymore, and who knows if that's causing it, but it's a suggestion.

 

You may want to go to your doctor and make sure it's not strep...

I love how they compare tonsil stones to pearls LOL. Yeah... gross smelly "pearls". I think one day I will get the laser treatment to flatten out my tonsils, because I get these all the time, and it's such a pain.

That's what is called "tonsil stones." If you were to get that out with a q-tip or something, you'd notice that it's horribly foul smelling, and if it fell on your tongue, it would probably taste foul as well.

 

You probably have very deep pitted tonsils, which makes a perfect crevice for food particles to gather. These particles get bigger and bigger and eventually grow bacteria and rot (hence the foul smell) until they eventually fall out and you swallow them.

 

There's no cure for that. You could try using a water pick every night in your tonsils to clean them. The only permanent fix is to get your tonsils removed.

It may be a plaque ball on the tonsil. Floss regularly and garggle mouthwash everyday.

Scrape it off. If it's thrush you can do that easily. [That's candida.] Have to do a colon cleanse and back off of sugar, etc. Intestinal flora out of whack. If it's come all the way into your mouth, it's progressed pretty far.
