Not sure why this is bothering me, boyfriend and I are very safe. I am on BC and he uses condoms every time, even though there have been a couple times where the condom has slipped or something weird.

I had my last period on about April 1. I am scheduled for my next one the 28th or 29th. But for the past, I don't know, perhaps half a week or so, my breasts have been tender/sore inexplicably. I asked my BF if he thought he had been being rough lately, he looked confused and said he hadn't. It's too early for PMS I feel. Also I have been getting up to use the bathroom at night, not something I normally do at all. In my defense it's actually been in the morning when I'm close to getting up anyway but it's usually a very pressing need to go. I'm a college student with a fast-paced life, my sleep cycle is a bit out of whack so maybe that could affect it? Also for maybe a week now when I pee I have a really intense sensation, it doesn't hurt or burn but feels almost erotic or something -- sorry to be weird it's just kind of a strange feeling! I read that in pregnancy sometimes a woman's bladder gets pressed on and was a little afraid these could be linked.

I feel like it's terribly improbable that I could be pregnant, and I won't know til the 28th comes around, but what is the earliest these symptoms I'm experiencing could occur? If I somehow did get pregnant the MOST it could have been was 2 weeks. Seems kinda early for frequent urination and breast tenderness... ??

The chance is very slight. I would say you are not. For you to show symptoms of pregnancy the embyro has to be emplanted which happens 7 to 10 days AFTER your ovulation. According to your cycle you have just past ovulation. However if you are taking bc pill you are NOT ovulating. If you are using something that is not hormonal you may be ovulating and in which case tender breasts is common after ovulation. The frequent peeing can happen as PMS as well and it could be the result of a developing UTI.

Technically, your not late yet. Give it until your period is due and then take a pregnancy test if it doesnt show up. If its going to bother you, do a test now. The later you wait, the better because of the HCG hormone that shows up in your urine when pregnant. I started feeling weird when I was 2 wks into my pregnancy, but I also have a chronis illness so I knew something was different by the way I felt. Some women get tender breats when their period is due or the pill can also cause that for some women.

I have had cycles in which I had much more tender breasts than normally, and earlier than expected. For me it usually starts around a week before I expect my period, which is about the time for you now, right? It sounds to me that you can't be more safe than you are. It's too early to test now, but I think you have very very little reason to worry!

Thanks everyone. I'm not super worried because I know we've taken all the precautions, but the idea did get itself into my head. I think my first step needs to be getting more sleep, I have been horrible about it lately and I'm sure my body could be responding negatively.
