stranded247
Are they natural laxatives because if I have about 2 or 3 cups of green tea or ordinary tea the amount of trips I take to empty my bowels (sorry, gross, I know) in the bathroom is quite substancial. Are they natural laxatives or something? Paticularly green tea, the type I drink doesn't contain senna leaf though, which is a hideous herb that does horrible things. Link to comment
dangletsbang
I drink one to two cups of hot green tea a day a few days during the week.. it just makes me feel full - lessens my appetite..no laxative effect on me..but coffee early in the morning definitely causes a laxative effect for me. It probably effects everyone different. Link to comment
arwen
Coffee has that effect on me, but black tea has the opposite effect. I have not noticed this in particular for white, green, or red (bush) teas. Link to comment
CallingAllAngels
Yes...it's the caffeine in both coffee and tea that makes you go. Link to comment
NowandZen
Yes...it's the caffeine in both coffee and tea that makes you go. Yes, but isn't there a lot less caffeine in tea than coffee? Link to comment
Alezia
Yes, but isn't there a lot less caffeine in tea than coffee? No there isn't, it's around the same. Link to comment
BellaDonna
Caffeine in coffee and tea can have a laxative effect in general. If the Green Tea you are drinking contains caffeine, that is likely the culprit. Link to comment
