Need guys' opinion on short term relationship

I generally only locate 1 guy every 4-6 years who has any interest at all in me, but I have finally met someone online.

 

We had a first date, but he told me that he only feels capable of short term relationships at this time due to a bad breakup with his girlfriend 18 months ago.

 

He wants to know if I am ok with a short term relationship.

 

Does that mean he is just looking for a hookup for a few weeks?

 

Does that mean he just wants to go slow?

 

Do guys ever start out with a short term relationship and then feel more comfortable with the relationship/want to keep her around long-term?

 

Should I just move on now?

He is telling you right off that he doesn't want a serious long term relationship. He wants fun for a short time, with no strings attached.

It doesn't mean anything other than the fact that he only wants a fling with you. Don't go into it thinking you'll change his mind or anything. If a serious relationship is what you want then I say don't bother going out with this guy. If you can have a fling with him and not invest any real feelings and come out of it fine, then do it. But that usually never happens...
