So i am a 20 year old college student, i have never really been with a girl only have kissed them and lately i have been telling my boyfriend how fun i think it would be to have a three some kinda spice things up. let me be crazy and try something new. i have found a girl who said she is in and everything but my boyfriend keeps backing out and saying it will mess things up..

I was in this same situation. I was constantly being pressured for threesomes.

It caused me so much stress and so much resentment towards him.

I would think that this kind of thing will only work if all parties involved are completely comfortable with it. Clearly your b/f is not comfortable and I don't think this is the kind of thing where if he gives it a little time, he'll come around.

 

Do you want to "spice things up" for yourself, or for both you and your boyfriend? If this is just for you, you probably have to put it on the backburner. If you're looking to spice things up for the sake of the relationship you have with your boyfriend, this probably isn't the best way to do it.

Perhaps you should both break up and you can explore your sexuality without making him uncomfortable, this sounds more like seeing if/how you like girls than trying to spice up a relationship.
