Lamour detruit
Ladies this will come accross as a stupid question, but here goes......would you date a man that doesn't have a vehicle? Hahaha, I have been wondering about this as well actually. I do not have my eyes set on someone around here....however, the thought did cross my mind several times;I only have a bike to get around,so when asking a lady to go out on a date with me it would seem kind of silly to ask her for dinner, only to mention I do not own a car, hence it will be hard for me to come pick her up. laisla
yea i would..none of my exes had cars at the time. i've "dated" a few that had cars, but never more than 1-3 times. maybe it's because i am young. but i also know some girls my age who would never date a guy without a car. Link to comment
COtuner
This thread has been done before recently. No, I wouldn't, because we'd have one big interest in common missing. Link to comment
REDIRECT43
I definitely wouldn't, but where I live you really need a vehicle. Link to comment

I know what you mean lol, it will be awhile before I get a car so I don't know how I'm supposed to take a girl out to mini-golf or something off campus. Chances are it's going to end up at at the subway nearby or local restaurant. Guys I think would be expected to have a car as they get older, especially after college and when they're working at a full-time job. Link to comment

itsallgrand
It's not a problem for me but I prefer that a man have a license if he can. So long as he is willing to take initiative in turns still for planning and is finding ways to get where he needs to go without relying on me, it's all good. I'd prefer he have the license though so that if situations come up where we are driving a longer ways or I just can't/don't feel like driving after a while, we can switch off sometimes. Honey Pumpkin
Yep, am currently dating someone who doesn't drive. Mind you, where I live has a fantastic public transport system and is a small city that you can walk around (Edinburgh, UK). So yeah, it's fine here. Link to comment
forever1130
Probably not. I feel that not having a car was just one of the things that recently led to me and my boyfriend breaking up. He was in a pretty bad soccer accident about a year ago that left him unable to walk for a few weeks and after he recovered from that he had already sold his car cause he moved in with his best friend. They both work at the same place and do everything together so they always carpool... I'm sure you can imagine how much of a stress that put on our relationship. We either wouldn't go out at all, plan according to when his roommate wouldn't be using the car, or I would have to pick him up (kinda funny considering I'm 5 years younger and going to pick him up). In the beginning I didn't mind due to the circumstances relating to his injury but after a year of that I was just kinda sick of it! It would have made life so much easier if he had just gotten another car! Link to comment
WorkingInLin
How about if the person didn't drive at all? Would you date someone who didn't drive, and preferred to take the bus or walk? Link to comment
qqqq
Ladies this will come accross as a stupid question, but here goes......would you date a man that doesn't have a vehicle? i have. i'd prefer if they had a car tho. (unless they have a bike, or are 'environmently friendly'). But thats only coz the one guy that didn't have a car was a selfish pig. I drove us everywhere. Expected me to pick him up and drop him home, going completely out of my way and NEVER offer anything for petrol. at the time i didn't see it. stupid stupid! Link to comment
