emj27
I was the dumpee, in NC He just texted to tell me that a mutual friend has had her baby (she's more his friend than mine and I don't have her number or anything or any other way of finding out) It seems rude not to reply but I'm trying to do NC... DN
I think a brief "thanks for letting me know" is sufficient to be polite and doesn't break the principle of no contact. Don't hold out hope it means anything more than letting you know about the mutual friend as a courtesy. Link to comment
CocoButter
Just ignore it...the one thing I learned from break up is when they break up w u...CUT THEM off...you dont want to make it easier for him...holding his hand through the break up, being there for him and responding when he sends stupid messages Link to comment
CandyKins
Just simply say "That's nice, congrats to her." Keeping it short and sweet is the key. Yeah, it seems rude if you didn't. In that situation, having a baby is such a congratulating and wonderful thing. Link to comment
emj27
Thanks all, I replied 'That's great! congratulations to them, thanks for letting me know' no kisses lol. Funny how these tiny little things can affect you... Link to comment
DN
Sometimes how you deal with these tiny little things is a good indicator of your healing progress - and you seem to be doing quite well. Good for you. Link to comment
