Almost 2 weeks late for my period !

I'm only 15 , turning 16 in May.

I am almost two weeks late for my period. I think I might be pregnant.

I was wondering if I take a pregnancy test tomorrow if that is too early to take one? I'm with my boyfriend of 3 months now, and have never been happier He is really supportive, and wants to help me and take care of me, if what happens, happens. So, I was just wondering also, that if I am pregnant what are the first things I should do. I live at home, and I'm a good student, and stay away from drugs and stuff.

If you're two weeks late then no, that's not too early to test. The general rule is waiting two weeks after ovulation to test.

If the test is positive then the first thing you should do in my opinion is tell your parents and then go from there.

If it's negative then take this as a wake up call, and get some proper birth control if you haven't been using any.

You should test now.

A baby is not just something in the category 'what happens happens', you're barely 16 and have a boyfriend of only a few months, not exactly a stable long term commitment. How do you expect to pay for a baby? And to finish an education?

If the test is not positive, PLEASE consider contraceptives like the pill before you have to test in another month again.

Agree with this 100%.

Hope your test is negative and you use protection in the future, since you are not in a place where you are ready to be a parent at 16 still in high school and living at home, having a boyfriend of just a few months.

what do your parents think?

two weeks late, there is a major chance that you will be pregnant.

do you know how much a kid costs?

And you should be completely prepared for your boyfriend to freak out and leave you. Saying they are happy and ready is alot different than BEING happy and ready when the event actually occurs.

Hi - I hope your test turns out negative for now. You are right - you are only 15. I know that teens should not be totally dismissed as potentially good parents - but the reality is that they often are not ready. Good luck and I pray that if you test negative, you speak with your mom or someone about getting on birth control of some sort. I'm glad you're ready to face whatever comes, as ready as a teenager can be I suppose.

There are lots of different tests, which work at different times, so if you read the boxes, or ask a pharmacist, they'd be able to direct you to the right one

While it may not be an ideal situation if you do end up pregnant, it is not an impossible one. It's good to hear you're being positive about it, cos stressing will not do you or the *possible* baby any favours. Being realistic about the changes & growing up you'll need to undertake can be overwhelming, but that's why God gave us 9 mths to face it Good luck. I hope everything works out, one way or the other.

Everybody has already said the contraception thing, but I'll go one step further and mention that celibacy is still an option too
