tulipsfav
Hi its me again, am still at my wits end as it has been nearly 4weeks since my relationship broke up. You can check my last thread for more info. Basically i would like some advice. Is it a good idea to write your ex a letter telling him how you feel and do love letters work? Thankyou Link to comment
Crazyaboutdogs
Given the fact that he dumped you and is facing all kinds of uncertainties in his life, I would not recommend that love letter..that might end up pushing him away as it would put too much pressure on him and would show you as clingy and not getting the message. You have only been with him 5 months. I think you need to back off and let it go. If he wants to be with you again he will contact you....he already knows how you feel. Link to comment

I agree here...but go ahead and write the letter, just don't send it. It can be therapeutic. Link to comment
Pr0vocative
Write the letter and don't send it. My first and instant thought Link to comment
ellandroader
I'll be the black sheep and say send it. Just because it's the last throw of the dice and it may be a good thing for them to know. Link to comment
JeffXL5
The only experience I have with love letters is back when I was in high school there was a girl who I was crushing on hardcore and I wanted her to like me so bad so I went so far as to drop a love letter on the doorstep of her house (she lived down the street). Well lets just say it basically ruined my high school life forever, ahahaha. She brought it to school and showed everyone man I was laughed at for months lol. Would they work in a more adult setting? Probably not. Only a hopeless romantic would appreciate a true love letter. Unless your dating somebody who you can see saying 'Awwww' then they get it then chances are they will probably laugh at it and ask themselves why you just didnt show your face to say it instead. Jeremiah Johnson
Love letters don't work unless the recipient is in love. The person's heart has to be of the right state to receive the words. If you put a match to wood, it catches fire... but if you put that same match to ice, it only vaporizes into nothing. Link to comment
