I'm a guy, so don't know if this helps. I bought a Playstation Eye camera for my PS3, and I showed it to her. She thought it was cool. I joked that we could film and watch ourselves doing it at the same time, and she dug the idea. Later that night we did. About 1 minute into the video she ordered me to delete it, she hated the way she looked.

Im a girl, never tried it because I actually never thought of doing it & he never asked.

But I wouldnt be completely opposed to the idea. I think I would do it ONLY if I could keep the tape after & he can only watch it when I give it to him lol.

I would be to scared if we broke up, that...that tape would end up somewhere it shouldn't. Heard way too many bad stories...

Nope. Only because of what could potentially happen if we broke up.

I guess if I had control over the video (i.e. it was only on my computer and he didn't have ownership of it) I would be cool with it (and excited about it).

I don't really think thats fair to him though, so I probably wouldn't ask for that.

you would have to go over that before making the tape and agree on what would happen. destroy it i guess.

I think the main concern for most women that are opposed to this is we dont know where the tape will end up. I think it would be OK if I kept the tape with me at all times lol & then destroyed it - if we broke up.

Just seems like too much effort & worry just to have a sex tape.

I've done it a couple of times... it was great fun, but more hilarious than anything... sometimes two people having sex doesn't look that sexy at all! you realise that in porn it's all fake, because no one actually looks like that when they are haivng sex...haha!

It didn't take any convincing!

That is a fear of most but I didn't keep any of the videos from my younger years so we don't all distribute them after the breakup.

You are a good man! Not everyone man or woman would be as respectful after a break up though...unfortunately.

I had an ex film us once without my knowledge. I went to take a shower, came out of the bathroom and he was sitting on the couch with 2 of his friends watching "the night before" that we had together.

I was more than pissed.

After that, I never thought about it. I'm not against it, but things would be totally different this time regarding who has the video footage afterwards.

I noticed a few posts that said maybe only if THEY could keep it to make sure it is destroyed if needed. Let me ask this. If you don't trust your SO with this matter, why should your SO trust you with it?

The way I look at it, both people get a copy of it or neither do (assuming you don't live together/not married). But keep it encrypted, perhaps with GPG or on a TrueCrypt virtual drive (can't play back on a DVD player though, only in software on a computer).

I've filmed myself with my ex bf... i had full ownership of the video and i only let him watch it with me around. it's fun and kinda naughty to do that. hahahah i dont know. i would never let a guy keep the video because like almost everyone said... you never know where it's gonna end up.

and in response to the poster who asked why our SO should trust us if we don't trust them.... it's because most of the responses are from females. girls do not want their naked bodies in compromising positions put on blast if the relationship does not work out. from my experience, guys don't care if they end up on the internet. for them it's like yeaaaaahhh look at me. it's a totally different situation for a female. the girl is highly unlikely to show ANYONE the tape cuz we don't want anyone to see us like that.

Well all the female porn stars beg to differ that they care about ending up on the Internet, as well as the many amateur porn girls who do it for the porn companies. Why trust the girl? She may be the one who likes the attention and he may have reservations.
