ghost69 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 this website is ridiculous. anybody know of any country or something that serves stuff like this?: link removed
Mutley Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 That stuff doesn't even look good. I'm all for unhealthy food and all, but not when it looks like something outa Carpenter's version of "The Thing."
dont_know_what_2_say Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 !!! that's insane...... it looks like "a heart-attack on a plate "
CatsMeeoow Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 believe it or not there are people who do.... someone came in the other day talking bout some restaurant where they batter dipped and deep fried bacon... really???? like bacon alone won't kill you... let's make sure the major coronary you have on the way to the hospital does you in before doctors can intervene. =)
mr_iwi Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I've had a friend Mars Bar before. It's a bit weird, but there's nothing wrong with it. Some of the dishes on offer do look very tempting to me. They don't have The Stonner though. image removed It weighs three pounds, and is sausage wrapped in kebab meat and deep friend in batter. A 1000 calorie monster that makes me want to go to Glasgow just to see what all the fuss is about.
lady00 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Pretty sure there are a bunch of American restaurants that have this stuff. The duck/turkey thing I've definitely heard of before, as well as the burrito thing.
dont_know_what_2_say Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 believe it or not there are people who do.... someone came in the other day talking bout some restaurant where they batter dipped and deep fried bacon... really???? like bacon alone won't kill you... let's make sure the major coronary you have on the way to the hospital does you in before doctors can intervene. =) hahaaha seriously it's like the deep-fried cocacola??? how do they even do that???
Mutley Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 For some reason I'm getting sick to my stomach.... I'm going to ralph...
IphigeniaSaysHi Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I was totally going to post this link on EQD's "modern human diet" thread. You beat me! That link made me sick to my stomach.
hockeyboy Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 hungover, i would so eat the The Double Bacon Hamburger Fatty Melt
Crazyaboutdogs Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 That stuff made my stomach feel really queasy.
hockeyboy Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 lol nothing like some healthy fat to grease the brain from a hangover. and they say there are no medical uses of fat... i second your comment as well and I can't believe I just said I'd eat that giving I just made a post about having an upset stomach for 3 days. with that said, I'd still totally eat that. greasy food cures hangovers
MattyG Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Man, I have to say that some of that stuff is insane. Although that fatty melt does sound kinda good right about now. lol
Ac143 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 We had some guy that served this kind of crap outside at 3am on our college campus. It was insane because everyone would get drunk and on their way back to their rooms would stop & get this food. The stuff he had was even worse then some of the stuff on that website.
ghost69 Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 i like how everyone seems to think it's US food. i've seen nothing similar here at all. perhaps east coast?
Mavh25 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Dont think the pizza is too bad.. In all of our fish and chip shops in England you can take in a mars bar/snicker etc. and ask them to batter it and deep fry it for you.
flash83 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 anyone notice how everyone posing with the food isn't fat/obese? cept for maybe the kitchen sink guy
ghost69 Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 anyone notice how everyone posing with the food isn't fat/obese? cept for maybe the kitchen sink guy it's just a picture. if anything, they probably had a bite.
Scorpion Fury Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I have only seen deep fried things like that at The Outback and at the state fair, deep fried twinkies and deep fried whatever else you want.
ghost69 Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 The first one it says is a dish served in Rochester. Two of the others, one was served at Jack N Grill, the other Mulligans in Georgia, one was Japanese, and the rest did not say. well, these are just a few things on one website. that's why i asked if it's all east coast. they have nothing like that here on the west side of the US. least i've never seen.
flash83 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 it's just a picture. if anything, they probably had a bite. i noticed this happens to me when i see a fat person eating mcdonalds i think 'geez thats why your so fat', compared to when i see a fit person i dont think anything at all.
Ac143 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Well I grew up in the east coast, (nj,nyc & pa) and seen alot of this - especially around college campuses. None of them actually surprise me, seen alot worse lol. The one place was called "grease trucks" at the college I went to....its amazing what drunk college students will eat lol And they are famous for their greasy, fatty food, if you do a google search on grease trucks...they come up in wikipedia.
ghost69 Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 They have a lot of fried dishes I know in the southern US. I live very close to the eastern US and whenever I have been there I have not seen too many fried items, but the more south you go you do. I do not really look at fried food though and I NEVER fry anything at home, either baked or broiled. So it could be I am missing those things because I do not eat them. sure they fry things, but i don't think southerners fry stuff like this. i'm in south west, never see this except deep fried burritos, which is common everywhere.
Sweet Venus Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I like Micky D's breakfast when I'm hung over.lol
