ConfusedDater
I was just wondering the purpose of including my email on my resume because all the interviews I have had in the past it was from the employer contacting me through telephone, not email. so wondering has anyone ever received a reply from a employer through email? george237
I prefer email. This way I can get back to them discreatly if I am at work. Also what if they call and there is a lot of noise in the backround. Link to comment
Supa_gurl
I have had it by email. It was a large corporation. I kinda prefer it that way. *Why is this under dating? Link to comment
Ac143
By a direct employer - never they always called. From consulting agencies - yes I have gotten emails. Link to comment
Blanco Nino
I've gotten the good old thanks but no thanks via e-mail before. The initial contact was always by phone. Link to comment
BellaDonna
You should always include your e-mail address on a resume, as a formality. Link to comment
nutbrownhare
Some very large organisations - such as the nhs - do all their early communication by email if possible. Link to comment

Crazyaboutdogs
I would think that many employers would use email. Certainly if you send your CV/Cover letter by email they might respond by email and then follow-up phone call. Link to comment
shikashika
I always provide my email address on a cv or resume but 100% of the time I have been contacted by a phone call. Link to comment
Alezia
I get most of my communications (I'd say 85%) by email. Link to comment
BeStrongBeHappy
Email is an easy way to send you things, like forms and information, and you don't play phone tag so much. They send you an email and tell you when to call, or that you should call them, and then you go from there. Link to comment

Actually, it doesn't matter what server your email is on, as long as it's not something like "Bigbeefystud@link removed". Just make it professional: "John.Smith@link removed". Link to comment

hers
what's wrong with yahoo or hotmail or whatever you have now, if it's your professional name? my email is just my last name, followed by my first and middle initial, at gmail. I've had it for years and it's not unprofessional. Link to comment

I've recently job hunted (and job accepted!!!) and most of it was through email with some follow up phone calls (and mostly voice mails) Link to comment
