The cute and funny things our pets do...

Heh, I just got a text from my mom. My 16yr old cat is chasing around the 18yr old cat...frisky old things.

Cairo is gnawing on my cell phone like it's a chew toy.

Cairo enjoys drinking from the faucet. So much to where she'll sit there and cry if it's not on for her. Glad I don't pay a water bill.

What do your creatures do?

I've been ill this week and I was lying under a duvet. Anna always wants to be lying ON a human, but on the duvet it was not always clear where there would be me and where there would be just air. Which led to some hilarious slides of our Majesty, and her looking so silly out of her eyes

My Siamese cat will jump up on your stomach when you are trying to sleep and bat at you with his paw if you don't start to pet him immediately. If you start and stop, here come that darn paw again! My bunny will sit straight up on her hauches with a piece of newspaper bedding in her mouth and look at you like, "What?" I could watch my crazy pets all day.

I have a 4 lb Chi-Rat and a 140lb Rottie...they play together and its just the funniest thing you've ever seen. The Chi-Rat is definitely the boss, she always has the last word.

When I'm in my office studying I leave the door open but put up a baby gate so they can't come in and mess with things. If they get tired of eachother and want my attention they'll come sit in the doorway right next to eachother and take turns barking at me. The Rottie sounds like a beast, and the little one sounds like a squeeky toy. lol

My babies.

By far, my cat acts the funniest when a fly gets in the house. She is an indoor cat (used to be a stray) so the previous hunter in her comes back to life when she sees a bug. She will run like crazy following a fly- and jump up on furniture to try to reach it. She has crashed into things many times because she is running so fast while looking up. I bought her a laser pointer and she loves chasing that too.

The cutest thing she does is sleep in bed with me, under the blankets, totally sprawled out, often upside-down with one ear bent back and paws stuck straight out.

I also taught her how to "give kisses". If you make a kissing sound she will walk up to your face and press her nose on it.

My oldest boy does that, I always get my kiss when I get home from work, but he will actually lick you. I'm working on my littlest boy, but I can't get my girl to do it, probably because she is such a diva

I wake up many mornings with my girl on my pillow, my big guy (25 lbs) on my legs and my little guy curled up next to my butt lol. I feel so loved when they do that

Something about a cat sleeping near me is very relaxing and comforting. I sleep better with my cat is with me.

me tooooo!! I fall asleep MUCH easier if Cairo is on the pillow next to me or on my hip (though, then I start thinking about how I can't roll over, which in turn makes me WANT to roll over... but I don't want to fling little muffin off the bed)

I had a kitty that used to pout when he was mad or I gave attention to one of the other cats. he'd follow me around and make sure I knew he was mad. He'd follow me from room to room and sit in the doorway with his back toward me.

awwwwwwww...attention 'ho.

Cairo has taken a liking to shredding my shower curtain liner.

My dog does lots of different goofy things. He LOVES the snow; he jumps around in it, wagging his tail, and he likes to bow his head down and run through it, like a bulldozer. The best is when the snow gets real high, and he hops through it like a rabbit (he's a medium to large-sized dog, so it's pretty funny to watch).

He also chases bugs around if they get in the house. And not only does he chase them, he barks and/ or cries at them. OH! The best is when the Good Year blimps fly by. He runs after them in the back yard, barking at them, and trying to jump up and catch them, and then when they pass by, he'll turn around and look at you like he's proud that he chased them away. lol

I remember a few years ago my dearly departed girl (my cat, Tiger. A beautiful calico with a face one side black, the other white) was at the vet getting declawed. I was on my way home from school when I get this call from the vets office. In the background I hear a cat growling and hissing, and this panicked little veterinary assistant yelling for help. "Mr. (my last name) could you please come and get Tiger, shes being...uh, difficult." So I get there and this little calico cat is holding two assistants and a vet at bay from the back of a stainless steel cage, refusing to let any of them close the door. I called her name and walked up to the cage and she instantly turned from this crazed animal back into my little girl and jumped out of the cage into my arms. I don't think I ever loved that cat more than I did that day.

Mine has done so many crazy/weird things.

One time, I came home from school and found all sorts of random things -- rubber gloves, ziploc bags, etc. laying all over the kitchen floor. My cat had gotten one of the kitchen drawers open, and she had sifted through the contents of the drawer and taken things out.

She just likes drawers, and if there's an open one, she'll go in it and start rooting around. She does it when I open my dresser drawers, too. If I don't close the drawers right away, she hops up in there and literally starts digging, throwing stuff out as she goes. It's pretty funny to see my underwear and socks flying out of a drawer! Then, she lays down in the drawer and kicks back. One time, I was studying or reading or something, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw her walk past, dragging something along with her. It was a pair of my pantyhose! She had taken them out of the drawer and had decided to play with them. Weird.
