treehouse7888
i wrote a love song for my b/f a few nights ago and couldnt sing it because my voice sucks lol, i just wrote the lyrics to it and let someone else sing it for me. he said "i" sound really nice and loves it. however i dont want him to fall in love with that other person's voice and even though this song really means a lot to me--what i really wrote in the song is how i feel about our relationship and us. i just feel bad because i lied and he thinks its me singing the song, also i feel jealous hes in love with that person's voice. should i let him continue thinking its me or should i tell him the truth? i know this is all stupid but i always will go out of my way to do things for him. Blaah
I think you should just tell him. If he loves YOU, I don't think he's going to care that it wasn't you who sang it. Just tell him why you didn't want to sing. He knows you still wrote the song and I don't think knowing that you had someone else sing it will really change the fact that it was a nice gesture and that the song are YOUR feelings towards him. PrincessJOA
You should definitely tell him it wasn't you who sang. It would be a major blow for him if he finds out you've been leading him on, making him think that you were the voice behind those beautifully written lyrics. Just tell him. I don't think he will react in any way that will deter him or you from the relationship... but that's just me =) Link to comment
thistime
yes you definitely need to tell him you did not sing it. i think if you just tell him it is because you have a horrible voice...in your opinion...he will understand. next time write it as a poem, or love sonnet...not a song! lol Link to comment
