Funstuff
Alright well, here it is. Im an 18 year old male, and i always see guys and girls are like snap he dresses nice, iv never really had a problem with girls, and i do have a girlfriend but when i ask her she says i look good in all the stuff. I used to skateboard all the time, and i had a few sponsers so i have copious amounts of "skater" type clothing and i guess that was my style for the longest time, simply because i could get extremly expensive cloths for free, so why not wear it. recently i stoped competeing, so now im out to buying my own cloths. Now heres my dilema, i have like 6 or 7 button ups, like a white, silk blue, solid black, purple and stuff which i can wear with a tie or whatever, some dress pants. And i have copious amounts of t -shirts, and i used to just have people give me an outfit to wear and it would all "match" The problem is tho, most of my other cloths, are like descriptive of my personality as girls have always said. Like iv got adhd, and im pretty wackk hah, but like if i was to go out to the mall id wear a black tshirt, with like White/blue/green/yellow writeing, To go with my Bright yellow/blue/black/grey zipup. I have no idea if that makes me look like a 12 year old or not, but somtimes ill also were a button up, with one of my sweaters over it and i look "sophisticated" and i just dont know which one girls like the most, they never tell me. To me, i always have loved wearing my skateboarding clothing, just cause i was a large aspect of my life, but i do enjoy looking good, and i never know what to wear when =/ So pretty much if you didnt read all that non sense, im sort of wondering, what sort of cloths should a 18 year old be wearing?, cause iv asked girls what type of style i have, and they say i dont have one, yet i am somehow able to pull it off. And im like * * * that doesnt helpp Link to comment
COtuner
Unfortunately, at your age, it depends a lot on what's appreciated in the circles you run in. Plus it depends on what you're doing - working, school, dates, chilling, the gym.... even at my age, I wear different things for all of the above. There was a guy at my gym today whom I thought looked completely idiotic. He's in a club full of business people, wearing the usual Nike and UnderArmour outfits. Comes in to work out in giant diamond earstuds, a hat skewed to the side, a tshirt, baggy shorts down to midcalf, and what appeared to be tights underneath (not compression pants, maybe baseball socks if I'm feeling charitable, but they looked like women's tights), and hi tops. Everyone was staring at the guy because it made no sense. THAT'S the kind of thing you want to avoid. Individuality is fine, but don't completely go 100% outside the conventions of certain environments. So be creative and figure out what you like to wear Link to comment
george237
I wear whatever I want and don't care what other people think. In my parts everyone wears button downs to the bars and clubs. I hate looking like everyone else so I will usually wear a t-shirt out and I never had a problem with the women. Be yourself and others will respect you. Link to comment

You wouldn't show up there dressed like Kanye West. Link to comment
