Does anyone know how I can find a decent job in my area??

Right now I'm basically looking for any job! I need money and fast for personal issues that I don't feel like discussing on here. I'm really confused and feel defeated because almost everywhere I tried, I've got doors slammed in my face constantly and I just would like a door to open for me. I live in Atlanta Georgia and I don't really have a lot of work experience. Are there any websites that can help me out to tell me what jobs are hiring in my area and that will give me tips on how to be successful in landing a job???

Try link removed, link removed, the websites of local newspapers that usually have job listings.

 

Also, look up the temp agencies (temporary employment agencies) in the phone book. they frequently have jobs that you can start on immediately, and though they don't last forever, they can keep you going until you can find a permanent job.

Thanks.. I never heard of careerbuilder.. I will get on it & most definitely look at those temp agencies. Thank you! If anyone else have anything to add.. it would be gladly appreciated.

Sometimes there are are website that advertise local jobs only. It's not like the big ones where you have to put in your city. Type the name of your city and "jobs" into google and see if anything comes up.

 

Also, try looking through the phone book to find places you'd like to work. Call them and see if they are hiring. Or just walk right in. Go to one of those plazas or a mall and just hit up all the stores and ask if they are hiring. Bring all of your information to be able to complete an application right there. If they are hiring, ask for an application, go fill it out and bring it back. Then call about a week later if you haven't heard from them and ask about the status of your application.

Try the airport. They are almost always hiring for soemthing.
