feel so useless.. - scooter.

Recommended Posts

I came of my scooter yesterday, about 12 and a half hours ago.

I was going slow as well! 5mph, 7mph max. And i came of, and I hurt myself. makes me feel like a stupid idiot.

I always slip on the piece of road I was on, but I can always control it, when its icy wet or dry, obviously not when its cold though? I tend to slip less when I go around the corner on the inside, and this time I came off?!

Makes me feel pathetic. Its embaracing as hell as well.

Well after I came off I picked up the scooter and rode on home, which would have been about 19 miles ish, maybe less, but deffinatly no more.

I hate it. And now I cant ride the damn thing, because I've hurt my knee, sprained my ankle and my wrist. hit my head on the ground too, but nothing there. I cant afford to go to college, its near £8 a day to get to college, and my mum cant always give me a lift to town, which means its a further £4 on those days, I get £30 a week, and I have college 4 days a week. And the doctor wont give me a note to say I did indeed come of my scooter, and I cannot stand for long periods of time, which is very helpful, because I have a practical lesson today, 1:30 until 6pm, with 2 15 min brakes. WTH am I going to do?

My teach wont send me home, I might be allowed to leave at 4:30 but thats about it.

Why am I so useless?

They arn't the safest no, but I can ALWAYS control it. I'm in my third year of riding scooters/motorcycles. And before this accident, I only had one. this sucks.

I will be honest with her, and hope she lets me go home.

Still, I cringe at the thought of driving a scooter. I see how dangerous the streets in my city are and how inconsiderate drivers are, I see it almost as guaranteed death, lol. I might be exaggerating a bit, but it looks pretty dangerous. I dunno if you live in a safer town, though. Hope they let you go home. Good luck.

I do live in a safer area, also a lot of the inconsiderate teenage drivers have ridden scooter/motorbikes so they tend to leave me alone a bit, also I can keep to the speed limits in my area, which is 60mph maximum. There have been alot of accidents in the last 6 months involving scooters and motorbikes though, but I tend not to think about those, lol.

Well accidents happen. I have the worst case of butterfingers sometimes and beat myself up about it, but then back off and think "I'm only human." Take it easy then. I have a friend who hurt his knee and insisted in going out, eventually he decided to just take a few days of rest and he finally quickly recovered. Don't be pushing yourself, and hope your teacher lets you go home.
