i3aller4lyfe
Hi guys, I've been in and out of these forums looking for advise for awhile now and finally me and my girlfriend of 2 years have broken up. I've read about all of your experiences and I have learned a lot from it all. This thread is to say thank you all for sharing and helping countless people through perhaps the toughest times of our lives. This place gives me a sense of hope and a feeling that I'm not alone. Even though each and everyone of us are different and unique there are many things that we all have in common. Humans are emotional creatures, we all feel pain, anger, and happiness. If theres one thing I've learned, its that you cant have happiness without sadness. The ying and yang . The higher you go the harder you'll fall, and the lower you go the higher you'll rise. I know a lot of you have stumbled onto this site during the darkest and saddest days of your lives. We are all here to share our experiences and help each other heal. There are many things we don't understand about ourselves and our loved ones, life is just one giant lesson. Everyday we learn something new about ourselves and others but most of the time we don't even realize it. This is how we grow up and become individuals, this is also why relationships are tough. Not only do you need to truly understand yourself, you have to understand your partner. I know a lot of times when I'm stressed and confused I start to blame it on other people or question other people's actions. But now I've learned to take a few moments to understand my emotions first. More often than not I learn something about myself that I didn't know before and I see the problem clearer. Once you know what makes you tick you will understand everything around you better. Again I want to thank everyone for sharing their experiences and helping each other get through these tough times. Emotions cloud our judgment. So take time to reflect on what is really going on in your relationship. Try to get to know yourself, you'll be surprised at what you learn. edit* I just realized that I probably shouldve posted this int he relationship forum not the break up forum. I just broke up with my gf so this was the topics I was browsing =) O and also I realize that people browsing this forum probably could use a pick me up, so if anyone decides to post after me please try to include something that will make us smile and brighten up our day a little bit =) image removed Link to comment
