Has any one ever had an ex who broke up with you try to get back together? If so how did it happen and how long did it take from the time they broke up with you?

If they are to come and stay - time needs to pass, situation needs to change and problems need to be resolved.

A lot of times we want them to come back but it would be better for us if they just stayed away. Yup truth hurts I know.

I agree, based upon recent experience. My guy wants to pretend like nothing happened and I'm not going to do that. I want his to get help and address his problems, just like I had done for myself.

I think we should try and answer blair's question, rather than stating opinions. The point of the thread is pretty clear. But thats my two cents.

 

One of my really good buddies dated a friend of mine for about 7 months. They were really in love, and I think that made him somewhat passive and not be as masculine(not needy or insecure, but not just not as masculine as some of us guys are). Maybe she longed for that, even though she seemed so happy with the way things were going with them. I guess he never provided her with both sides of it.

 

Anyways so as I recall(this was a year and a half ago), he was extremely hurt and taken aback by it. He wouldn't talk to her at all, unless sometimes if she called him, but even then, she didn't really go out of her way to contact him besides a couple times right after the breakup, I suspect b/c she didn't want him to hate her, or wanted to make sure he was okay. I think they rarely if at all talked over a course of 4-5.5 months or so. She dated 3-4 guys during this period, none lasting more than a few weeks or a month. He messed around with a couple girls, thats about it.

 

About 4-5 months after the breakup, they ended up getting back together. And stayed together for IDK maybe 4-6 months more. I still have NO idea how they got back together, it seemed like she kinda had feelings for him when we hung out during their breakup, even when she was dating someone, but I never thought they would ever get back together. Proved me wrong.
