First Day of Second Semester

And I'm nervous as hell.

My first class, sociology, starts at 9am. First of all, why the sh-- would I sign up for such an early class!!!? So, that right there is my scariest issue.

Second..this is the first semester where all of my gen-eds are out of the way. thereforee, I'm actually STARTING "real" classes and this is sort of the beginning, in a way.

I guess I'm just really nervous and having some anxiety. Today, I have Soc, 2 psych classes and a history-writing class.

-DEEP BREATH-...

someone send me good vibes. I'm really nervous Not to mention sick...

man, the first day of the semester was always my favorite day! the classes are nothing more than just a meet and greet and you have no homework, and you get to see who you'll be in class with for the next 16 weeks.

hahah true about the meet and greet.

Somehow, though... I always end up with a ton of homework the first day.

FAIL. lol!

For real, that's a Total fail!!! I would have quit going alot sooner if that were to happen to me! The first days of semesters were what kept me going for so long..

I know. Hence my malfunction. haha!

It seems like there is always 15 chapters to read and a writing assignment in each class.

...ew I hate school...

lmao

Thanks for the replies, guys... I'm having BAD anxiety. I know it's just class... and the first week is the easiest.... but I can't help it. I forgot my stupid concerta and kdjsfkjsafljs. I'm just... a bundle of anxiety. PLUS, my mom's still in town.

Sociology went alright. It's set up weird. Apparently, there's some method to their 9AM madness. 4 profs run one Monday lecture and then Wednesday and Friday, we break off into smaller sections. Makes sense, I guess.

I have another hour to kill. I went and got a coffee but now I'm mad I didn't get a pop. Haha. The things I complain about.

I just feel like I don't belong in college... I've been at this particular university since Jan 2007. So, 2 years. I was sitting in my 300-level class (not high, I know, but it's not an intro) and looking around me at everyone saying HI!!! How are you!!!? And I knew NO ONE... I just hate that feeling.

^^ That honestly makes me feel better...

I'm going to be a super-super senior too, don't worry. I'll be 22 on Saturday and just NOW decided I want to do SW. I'm sooo behind.

Some kid almost nailed me in the face with his crutches (okay and on a side note...if you're not going to USE the crutches, but rather carry them, WHY bring them?)

It's a status symbol, like House's cane. It's pimp.

I too started my first day of class at 8:35 AM. Early, but it was chill. It's Spanish, and the teacher is like 23 and a grad student...super cool and apparently all the females are into him so that might add an interesting dynamic.

On Tuesday and Wednesday I have one class done by 9:30 AM and no class on Friday. That's hellified awesome right there.

I suck at the whole meet and greet stuff...what I do is get to know my section or corner of the room and just talk with them.

I start tomorrow. I signed up for Spanish just so I could have the min 60% courseload while I was on the waitlist for another class, but now I am contemplating taking Spanish. This was NOT in the plan! I really don't need it for Journalism... but I've always wanted to take it.

HAHAH, must be a status symbol, for sure.

That doesn't sound like a bad schedule. I just got home. Done til 6, and then I have it til 9. Just one at 6 tomorrow. Done by noon Wed and Friday. Meh.

I'm HORRIBLE at the meet and greet stuff too, I actually dread it every semester. I also seclude myself to my little corner

Oooh, you should take it. I'm all done with my language requirements but I think I might take more Spanish. I love it. It's such a useful class to have. Even an intro will help you out in today's world

Retard #2: "oh my god, you like SO are... but isn't he like..OLD?"

ROFLMAO!!!!

I'm turning into the girl in class who turns to the twinks and gives the stink eye, so they will shut up already. Your mommy and daddy may be paying and you may not want to be here, but I work hard for this, and I do. It's equivalent to "hey kids, get off my lawn!"

I'm glad I work with mostly 30+ people at my job lol
