Losing momentum over the holidays…?

Hey guys.

I’ve been talking to this guy for about three weeks now and we seem to like each other a lot. But we are taking things slow since he recently got out of a relationship. Anyway, we have been talking almost every day, but we didn’t talk yesterday or today so far. I know that this is very new so I’m not expecting constant communication, lol, but it would be a little disappointing if I don’t hear from him at all during around the New Year’s festivities.

A friend told me that NYE is really pressured filled which is why I haven't heard from him - but is it SO pressured filled, that he is not even going to contact me for a date this weekend? I'm wondering if I should send an email or text "Happy New Year!" tomorrow?

how soon did he get out of a relationship? In my experience, if he isnt over his ex or still dealing with relationship issues from the past, you should hold back as much as possible...Just went through the same thing a couple months ago and he started pulling back after a few weeks...I think with the holidays also, it can be a boatload of memories and overwhelming emotions.....Just go with the flow and dont pressure him.....

That's why i hate meeting someone close to a holiday because it does kill momentum and it has happened to me several times. I want to meet someone hopefully in january and be thankful that no major holidays are coming up until may.

Well, we actually had a good conversation on Christmas Eve and on Christmas day, and he was the one who contacted me first. I probably am just a little paranoid, lol, but I really like this guy so I don't want to make any wrong moves. Last time we spoke he said that we needed to plan out something soon before "I found a new boyfriend."

He got out of a relationship two months ago, but he seems to be doing ok. And he has been very opened about it and said that he still wanted to get to know me, we just had to go at it slow. Which I agreed.
